Your Chance To Be Ignored

Tonight is the first of three non-listening sessions being held by the Walker gubernatorial campaign, although they humorously call them budget hearing sessions. All meetings are from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm. The dates and locations are:

-- May 4, at Washington Park Senior Center, 4420 W. Vliet St.

-- May 6, at Wilson Park Senior Center, 2601 W. Howard Ave.

-- May 11, at Elks Lodge No. 46, 5555 W. Good Hope Road.

If pact practice is used to determine how these will go, Walker won't even be there. Just some of his interns. If memory serves, they didn't even allow people to speak last year but just had people fill out postcards.

If you're real lucky, your suggestions might make it back to the courthouse before being thrown out.

Either way, he will compile next year's budget in light of what his managers tell him would be best for his campaign run, while giving the rest of us a mess that even the county board won't be able to fix to an acceptable level.
