About That Move Of The Income Maintenance Program

New post up at Milwaukee County First. The State wants to move the income maintenance program out of the Coggs Building. It is not a good idea for the clients or the tax payers.

The remarkable thing is that this is something that Scott Walker and I can both agree on.

  1. Why is it "not a good idea for the clients or the tax payers?" It looks like the new place that the state is going to use (on MLK drive) is better location.

  2. NealB--as in Neal Coakley? C'mon, you can tell us...

Agreed that the worst part of the move is the relocation. No reason to do it other than to stiff the County. It's not necessary to make the move and the confusion will be monumental for the first few years.

Good to note that you are picking up my posts with approval, Cap.

  3. The cost of the move in itself is formidable. The building chosen is in need of a lot of reconstruction, and it will take long to do. A 25 year lease is unfair, especially if the state is planning on giving the program back to the county. The list goes on.

Dad, you are picking up on my stuff. Now if we can get you to put that gun down, there may be hope for you...
