Whiny Wanggaard Wants A Recount, Or Should I Say, "We Count"

The voters had spoken last week in Racine County, and they stated that they've had enough of former Senator Van Wanggaard's hypocrisy, overreaching and disrespect for working families.

However, whiny old Wanggaard is giving them another big heaping helping of hypocrisy, overreach and disrespect.

He wants a recount.

He says that his former constituents asked him to do the recount because they allegedly feel disenfranchised. Their claims, if there really are any, are based on fabricated innuendos and obfuscatory propaganda.

However, it makes no sense to do a recall when even WISGOP leaders admit that a recount won't change the end result of Wanggaard being ousted.

So why are they really doing the recount?

Is it because he wants to continue his double dipping for a little while longer?  Or is it to prolong his time in office so Walker can call for yet another emergency special session, where they'll be using their laser sharp focus on job creation, because not everyone is laid off and bankrupt yet?

Or is it something as simple as some political backscratching so the Republicans can again commit election fraud?  After all, as One Wisconsin Now points out, both the Racine County Sheriff and the Racine County District Attorney are big supporters of Wanggaard.  It would not surprise me one bit if they borrow a page from Kathy Nicholaus' playbook and find a mysterious thousand votes somewhere.

Why should the DA or the Sheriff, who political biases are plain to see, even be allowed to do anything about the election, short of assigning it to an outside, neutral investigator, much less actually standing up for their constituents and call BS on this whole mess.

It's only a matter of time before the voters and the citizenry in general get fed up with the way Republicans continuously disrespect them.  In fact, I'm surprised the uprising hasn't happened yet.

Kathy Nicholaus did not find mysterious votes somwhere.

The vote totals for the city of Brookfield were reported online by a reporter posting at Brookfield Patch. Nicholaus failed to include them in her results. She didn't find them, and she didn't manufacture them; she made a very large and very public clerical error, and nothing more.

Nicholaus is lousy at her job and should be removed from it. But implying she did anything nefarious in the face of what is known is engaging in "fabricated innuendos and obfuscatory propaganda", isn't it?

  2. Nicholaus runs a different vote method on her personal computer and will let no one else have a ccess to it...that is a bit more than being lousy at her job

    1. She nevertheless did not 'find mysterious votes'.

    2. But we really can't know, can we? That's the problem.

    3. Yes, we can - and do - know.

The results of voting in the city of Brookfield were reported by a reporter working for the web site Brookfield Patch the night of the election; around midnight orso, and 40 hours before the world had ever heard of Kathy Nicholaus and the 14K votes she lost and then found.

The vote totals that Nicholaus finally did report for Brookfield matched exactly what the Patch reported had posted.

We know this; we have known all of this since that day (or that night). Some of us just seem to want it to be otherwise.

  3. Special session is the name of the game.

Normal rules suspended, emergency legislation needed "now."

If the Racine DA and Sheriff want to forge ahead and support "the dipper" with his recall, they, as public employees will no longer get my support.

Oh, now the big question Mr. Capper:

Can we get rid of collective bargaining for police and fire now? Would it not be in the best interest for Walker to give local communities the "tools" for their budgets now?

If I was Mr. IMBR, I would have been hollering that this recall elections results were very much a mandate on this issue, ending all public sector bargaining, period.

But, I suppose, as long as certain police and fire union bosses are able to get what they want out of their elected officials, they will support whoever gives promises....

    1. Um, no. I am smart enough to know that racing to the bottom is not the way to the top. I'd rather raise all boats, wouldn't you?

    2. Yes, very much.

However, for the principle, if Walker and the Republicans are so sure that public education collective bargaining was an ill on the cost to communities, should Walker on principle be gutting police and fire, now?

I would think the same reasoning applies, as much as I disagree with it, that ALL union/ bargaining is bad.

I would think if Walker doesn't push the end of collective bargaining for all now, he will be seen as a hack.

      An unprincipled hack.

  4. Is the party that put Wisconsin hrough three recalls really complaining about a recount that is permitted by law?

    1. I would complain about the party that doubled the cost of the recalls by putting in fake candidates.

And then I would complain that the party that Bitterlaw is referencing didn't start the recall process.

Then I would complain about another party which has another agenda that they have to follow in order to serve their wealthy bosses, and therefore, that is why they must have a special session called for late this summer.

Because the party that is supporting the wealthy (only 1 of 14 billionaires giving support to Walkers recall election is from Wisconsin) does not give a crap about you.

They sold out, and that is something you should take notice of, and should complain about.

Unless of course, you are one of the owners of this country? I'll bet you are one of those inherited wealth prince "job creator" lords, aren't you?

  5. GTac is playing it so low to the ground now, they even have their website down:

Wheelin' and dealin' Walker and his Con Crew have something sneaking around in the background.

This Wankgaard knows something he ain't saying....

But have no fear, our DNR is working hard on it:
