The Walker Agenda Is Still Working! Part CLXVII

For a year now, Scott Walker has been blaming "uncertainty" for the sluggish job growth in Fitzwalkerstan.  He claimed "job creators" weren't creating jobs because of the uncertainty of the recalls, of the fall elections, of the impact of Obamacare and of sunspots - oh, wait, that last one was Ron Johnson.

Anyway, he's wrong on all of it.

Job numbers this bad is because of certainty:
Wisconsin ranks 42nd out of the 50 states in private-sector job creation, according to the latest available government jobs data.

The Quarterly Census of Employment and Wages compiled by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics covers the 12 months from June 2011 to June 2012.

The data shows that Wisconsin's position fell from a rank of 37th in the previous Census quarterly period from March 2011 to March 2012.

The report is based on reports from 96 percent of the nation's public and private sector employers.
There are no jobs because of the certainty that Walker and his Republican cohorts have no frickin' clue of what they are doing and only know how to give the state away to the highest campaign donor, er, bidder.

And take note that those are the numbers that Walker swears by, so he can't even wiggle out of his epic failure that way.

The full report is here.

  1. Perhaps the John Doe investigation is causing some uncertainty with companies who otherwise might just pick up and move to Wisconsin. The investigation started long before Walker dropped the bomb or was recalled. Or maybe the treatment the Walker administration gave Talgo has something to do with good companies opening up shop here. I would think that the prospect of building a factory then having the rug pulled out from under you would give CEOs pause.
